The roles of Solidarity-based support network in cases of sexual and gender-based violence – A qualitative exploratory study from Indonesia, Argentina, and India.
One of RAISE’s co-founders, Putri Widi Saraswati (from Indonesia), together with Florencia Maldonado (from Argentina) and Poulomi Bhadra (from India), are the initiators of this research project. RAISE is currently funding the research independently.
This research aims to develop a more comprehensive understanding of and recognition of solidarity-based support networks for victims/survivors of SGBV in Indonesia, Argentina, and India – including the shared characteristics and struggles, and the similarities and differences – in order to contribute to collective learning on the issue of SGBV response from, between, and within Majority World peoples. This research is currently in the data collection and interim analysis stage. Its abstract has been accepted to be presented at three international conferences in Finland, Italy, and South Africa.
