Our Approach

Collaborative, Strategic, and Built on Lived Experience

RAISE supports organizations that want their global health work to be more just, grounded, and aligned with the communities they serve.

We believe health is shaped by systems, power, and history, not just biology or personal decisions. Our services work individually or together to help partners slow down, reflect, ask better questions, and hold the whole story. We help build systems that recognize both the complexity of global health and the power we all share in shaping how it’s developed and implemented. Our team brings both technical fluency and lived expertise, helping bridge the gaps that often appear between community voices and institutional structures. We support global health teams through the following areas of work:

Our Services

Research

We design and carry out research that reflects the complexity of people’s lives and the systems that shape them. We approach our work through participatory, feminist, and decolonial lens to insight that is accountable to the communities it’s meant to serve. We use both qualitative and quantitative methods depending on the question and context. Our research often includes:

We treat research as a tool for advocacy, reflection, and power-shifting, not just publication.

Our Services

Strategy + Consulting

Our consulting work begins with relationship building, where we can understand your values and the vision of your work. We partner with organizations to create strategies that are reflective of those ideas and support the realities they’re working within. We offer strategic guidance rooted in reflection, accountability, and alignment. Our consulting work helps partners name their values and make them operational. We support:

This work is built to hold complexity and move teams toward clarity, care, and more honest collaboration, so that we can share power in practice.

Our Services

Learning + Knowledge Sharing

In global health, valuable insight is often held in specific roles, sectors, or regions. We help bring that knowledge into shared spaces where it can be exchanged, tested, and applied more widely. We design spaces where knowledge can move. Our learning offerings include:

We draw on both formal training and lived experience to create learning spaces that are inclusive, participatory, and responsive to the people in the room.

Our Services

Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL)

We support teams in building feedback systems that make their work more honest and aligned with the people they serve. Our MEAL services reflect the same values we bring to everything else: participatory, intersectional, and practice-based. Our evaluation work includes:

We treat evaluation as a process of shared learning, not just performance review. When done well, it helps teams grow, adapt, and stay accountable to the people they serve.

Areas of Expertise

We work across a wide range of intersecting issue areas, and understand these issues don’t exist in silos, and our work doesn’t either.
